As a vulnerable group in the society,left-behind children have received more and more attention in recent years.Because they grow up in a special environment,left-behind children face many problems in study and life, which have always been an important category of social work practice research and policy advocacy.Based on the sense of self-efficacy,this paper studies the self-efficacy of the left-behind children in X school by consulting the relevant literature at home and abroad and relying on the X school in Shandong Province. The self-efficacy of 90 left-behind children in X school was measured by using the Left-behind children self-efficacy scale and stratified sampling and simple random sampling. After statistical analysis of 86 valid scales, the results showed that the left-behind children in X school have the problem of low self-efficacy.Second,the author interviewed some of the 90 left-behind children who participated in the scale to understand their self-efficacy in learning, interpersonal communication and coping, analyze internal and external reasons, and evaluate their specific needs for self-efficacy improvement.Third,8 left-behind children with low self-efficacy score, similar self-efficacy and voluntary participation in the group activities were selected to participate in the group.Based on social learning theory, advantage theory, group dynamics theory as the instruction, using group work methods and techniques and in accordance with the basic steps for the team to carry out a total of eight times intervention activities. Then the qualitative and quantitative methods are combined to evaluate the service process and service effect. At last, this paper reflects and summarizes the research. The study of this paper finally found that after the end of the eight group activities, the total score of self-efficacy of 8 left-behind children participating in group activities increased.Among the scores of self-efficacy in learning,self-efficacy in interpersonal communication and self-efficacy in coping, the improvement of self-efficacy in learning was not obvious, while the improvement of self-efficacy in coping was the most obvious, followed by that in interpersonal communication. It can be learned from this that,on the whole,It can be seen from this that,on the whole, the practical research of using group work method to improve the self-efficacy of left-behind children is feasible and effective.
