Along with the acceleration of the process of China’s modern urbanization, there emerged a group of left-behind children which attracted high attention from the government and many social institutions. Due to their special family structure and the absence of parents, the need and rights of those children cannot be satisfied, which caused a series of problems concerning their personality making, daily life and study. If the problem remained unsolved, the left-behind children would trigger hidden risks of the society. So it is necessary to pay more attention to this group of people and find a way out. This thesis mainly discusses the professional method of helping those families in order to improve the relationship between the parents and their left-behind children and fulfill their benign interaction.By taking the left-behind children from three to six grade of Taoxinzhen Center School in WuHu County as the main research object, this thesis figured out the reason of family estrangement through case interview, summarized the general family condition of the left-behind children through questionnaire, presented the necessity of helping those families by comparing them with normal families, and improved the parents and children relationship more practically via professional social work method. And in the end the workshop, the questionnaire was posed to assess and reflect the advantages and disadvantages of this kind of method, so as to achieve better results of the left-behind children problem and get the method expanded, benefiting in building a long-term mechanism of improving the family relationship of the left-behind children.
