Poverty is a universal problem in the world. As the largest developing country,China has a high incidence of poverty and a large number of poor people. After continuously tackling difficulties, the number of poor people in our country has decreased significantly, and poverty alleviation has achieved remarkable results. However,it still faces various difficulties. The elderly are high-income groups of poverty, whose poverty level is difficult to escape from poverty, and is the difficulty of the poverty reduction process.Rapid population aging is a trend of social development. The current situation of China's aging is becoming more and more serious, and the problem of rural elderly poverty has not been completely eliminated.Poverty is an important factor that affects the quality of life and old-age care of the elderly. Therefore, the problem of poverty of the elderly is an important issue that needs to be solved urgently under the dual background of the aging population and the comprehensive construction of a well-off society. Before to solve the problem of poverty among the elderly,it needs to know what is the internal mechanism for the generation of poverty among the elderly?Compared with the poverty of other groups, the aged poverty has its particularity.Based on the investigation of village L,this paper uses the marginalization theory to explain the particularity of the poverty of the elderly. The poverty of the elderly is caused by the lack of self-sufficiency and the support of external forces in the process of continuous marginalization.Due to the aging of nature and the weakening of physiological function, the working ability of the elderly in rural areas becomes weak, and they are often in a state of economic hardship. Therefore, the total economic volume declines, and the aged are facing the dilemma of pension shortage and are in a marginal position. The aged are in a "marginal"state in the interactive situation and are "redundant people" in the family. The elderly withdrew from the circle of human relationships and became a "silent person" in the village life. The above reasons form a structural marginal situation. In the marginal context of the structure, the perception that the elderly is "in old age but not useful" is internalized. As a result, the aged have concerns about future pensions, tensions over unharmonious interpersonal relationships, which has emerged a psychological marginal personality and fall into the abyss of poverty.According to the analysis of the reasons for the poverty of this high-risk group, this paper holds that the particularity of poverty managing the elderly should not only pay attention on "poor",but also on "trapped".Moreover,it is necessary to recognize the marginal position of the elderly. It is the key measure to relieve the aged poverty problem to solve the marginalization of the aged in economic and social activities,to improve the structure and psychological counseling.According to the current social background and practical experience of the village L,it is an effective way to solve the aged poverty of rural by developing the collective economy of village. To strengthen the village collective economy,on the one hand,it is possible to increase the income of poor elderly persons with working ability through the development of collective industry projects, and on the other hand,it is possible to realize the income bonus and basic living security of the poor elderly through village collective welfare. The development of village collective economy has improved the economic status of the aged poor groups, eased the dilemma of old-age care, and could effectively manage the aged poverty in rural areas.
