Regional Comparsion Of Floating Population's Residence Intention

Based on the national floating population dynamic monitoring survey data in 2017,using descriptive statistical analysis,cross-table analysis and binary logistic regression methods,this paper found that there are more than 80% of the floating population chose to remain the place where they live now,and the highest was 84.24% in the Northeast,and the lowest was80.45%in the Western region,there is little difference in the willingness of floating population.This may have something to do with the reasons for the migrants why to go outside of homeland and to stay where they live now,to have a job or to do some business,and to give their children better educational opportunities are the top reasons for them.The regression analysis shows that migrants' personal characteristics such as gender,age,Hukou system,mobility range,and numbers of floating cities etc.all have a significant impact on the willingness to stay where they live now or go elsewhere,of which age has the largest impact on the willingness of migrants who stay in the Northeast region.the numbers of family members has the greatest influence on the willingness in the Eastern region,and the scope of migration has the greatest influence on the residence intention in the Central region;the parental migration experience has the greatest influence on the willingness in the Western region.Cultural capital of the migrants have the same influence direction on residence intention for the migrants in all regions,the higher of the education of the migrant,the higher percentage of willingness to stay where they live now.The personal or monthly family income,and the types of house in the economic capital have a significant impact on the floating population's willingness in the four regions.Among them,the personal monthly income has the greatest impact on the floating population's willingness in the Central and Western regions,and the monthly family income has a strong influence in the Eastern region,and the type of house has the greatest impact on the floating population's willingness in the Northeast.In social capital,whether to participate in the urban employee medical insurance or not has the largest impact on the willingness of the migrants in the Eastern and Northeastern regions,and whether to participate in the new rural cooperative medical insurance or not has the greatest impact on the Central and Western regions.
