With the acceleration of aging process and the increase of the elderly population in our country, the increase of the elderly population will inevitably increase the probability of the elderly being disabled and mentally retarded,so the demand for elderly care will also increase.Family care for the elderly has always been the main form of care for the disabled, and women have the primary responsibility in family care for the elderly. But the economic base determines the superstructure, and the improvement of the level of economic development and the change of population policy have promoted the evolution of the family structure: the main family or the joint family has evolved to the nuclear family, the multi-generation family has begun to transform into two generations of small families, and the number of elderly people living alone has increased. And the family division of labor model Life changed: the traditional "male owner outside, female owner inside" family division of labor model was broken, how to make women in the family elderly care and employment market to find a balance,is the core problem to be solved in this paper.Based on demand hierarchy theory, family economics theory and welfare pluralism theory, this paper combs the domestic and foreign literature on the problems of family elderly care and female labor employment and the relationship between family elderly care and female labor employment.Based on the data of China Health and Nutrition Survey(CHNS),the model needed in this paper is preliminarily set,and the explanatory variables and the explained variables in the model are analyzed descriptively.Firstly, the hypothesis of family old-age care is an exogenous variable.Based on the virtual variable of controlling time,a dual choice Probit model is used to study the effect of family old-age care activities on women The effects of the type of employment were studied using a linear regression model(OLS)to study the effects of family old-age care on women's wage income in different job markets;it was found that engaging in family old-age care activities increased the likelihood of women engaging in informal employment;then it was assumed that old-age care was an endogenous variable, and the IV Probit model was used to estimate whether or not family old-age care was engaged in informal employment choices, while the impact of family old-age care activities on women's wage income was estimated using atwo-stage least square method(2 SLS)and the endogenous test was performed on the variable of family old-age care;Turns out, when In addition to the fact that informal employment, which is more flexible in entering and leaving the labour market for more than 10 hours a week for women in family old-age care,is more favoured by family old-age care providers, the increased intensity of care, which increases from medium to medium, and the increase in the required return factor shows that family old-age care is more than 10 hours a week and that women are more likely to engage in informal employment as care increases. Moreover, the results of the study show that the effect of family elderly care activities on the wage income of employed women is greater in formal employment than in informal employment. Finally, from whether to live with the parents(or parents-in-law),whether to care for children under 6 years of age and education level from three different angles, the family elderly care activities to the heterogeneity of female employment elderly care activities was further analyzed, and the estimated results of the model were tested for robustness.Chapter 6,based on the previous text, puts forward to break the shackles of traditional ideas and rationally distribute care responsibilities;improve the family support system to reduce the burden on family caregivers;improve the infrastructure of the elderly and build an elderly-friendly society;actively carry out community education to improve the quality of women's human capital, and strive to find the best balance between women's family and work.
