In recent years,China 's economy has maintained a rapid and steady development, and the health of its citizens has gradually become an important issue in the forefront of social development. Therefore, the Chinese government has proposed a series of policies and measures to promote the improvement of the social medical system. The domestic medical level has been rapidly improved under the attention of the state, which has better protected people's health. The ensuing problem is that the life expectancy of the population is gradually increasing, the number of elderly people in our country is increasing, and the problem of aging population is becoming more and more obvious. On the one hand, the deepening of the aging population has led to a rapid increase in the demand for care for the elderly population;on the other hand, the current market-oriented care system in China is not yet perfect, and the supply of care services is seriously insufficient, which has become a dilemma faced by most families, especially caregivers.Under the influence of traditional ideas, our country is generally an old-age care model that focuses on family care.Women are the main force in caring for the elderly because they are the undertakers of most housework activities. For women in working age, they have to shoulder the responsibility of caring for the elderly, but also have to take jobs to obtain wage income and realize personal value. How to balance the relationship between family and work has become a problem that many women need to solve.Puzzles.Informal employment is a relatively free and flexible form of employment, which has the advantages of flexible working hours and easy entry and exit.It not only facilitates women to take care of the family and realize personal value, but also obtains wage income to reduce the financial burden for the family.Helps women balance work and family. Therefore, studying the impact of elderly care activities within the family on informal employment decision-making can not only objectively reflect the status of workingfamily conflicts faced by women, but also cause the society to pay attention to a series of difficulties caused by the contradiction between supply and demand of elderly care. This article takes the China Health and Nutrition Survey(CHNS)data from 1991 to 2015 as the basis for the in-depth analysis of the paper, selects the binary Probit model for empirical research, and uses the instrumental variable method to control endogeneity. The impact of female family elderly care activities on their choice of employment form. The results of the study show that women who assume the responsibility of caring for their parents and in-laws are more likely to engage in informal employment, and will underestimate this effect without considering endogenousness.Further grouping studies of the full sample found that household registration, age and residence There is heterogeneity in the way in which women 's informal employment decisions are affected.According to the results of empirical research, this article puts forward relevant suggestions from the perspective of caregivers and employees: first, formulating support policies for caregivers, including building a better pension system and enhancing the legal protection of caregivers;Second, formulate supporting policies for employees, such as implementing flexible work systems and strengthening training for female employees.
