Research On "The Belt And Road Initiative" For A New Era

“The Belt and Road Initiative”(B&R)was proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping in2013.This initiative combines “ the Silk Road Economic Belt ”and “ the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road”.It proposes to carry out industrial cooperation and peaceful development with other countries by principles of extensive consultation,joint contribution and shared benefits.This paper sorted out the relevant contents of the practice development of B&R in the past six years,analyzed the era background of it,sorted out the basic structure and practice path,summarized the main achievements brought by the development so far,and finally put forward the future prospect.In the basic framework and practice of the path of research.The basic structure mainly includes four aspects: objectives,positioning,principles and essential connotation.Its practical approaches mainly include creating a high-quality policy environment for development,promoting the development of "five-links",carrying out high-tech diplomacy under the principle of "joint efforts",and paying attention to cultural exchanges to enhance cultural support.Through analysis,it is proposed that B&R has four characteristics,they're openness and inclusiveness,sharing and mutual benefit,inter-civilization and green ecology.In the main results and future prospects of the study.The main achievements of it include: promoting trade cooperation to promote economic growth;making remarkable achievements in infrastructure construction;building a bridge of cultural mutual learning between countries;and providing new opportunities for enterprises to “go global”.Through analysis,it is pointed out that the construction of B&R still faces problems,including threats and hostility from some western countries,unstable factors in countries along the belt and road,low participation level of inland cities in it and the resilience of domestic enterprises in the context of economic globalization.In terms of the future outlook of B&R,we hope to further deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges with countries along the roate and encourage more innovative frontier industries to "go global".
