Research On The Characteristics And Influencing Factors Of The Mutual-support Relationship In Cities

With the acceleration of the population aging process and the longevity of the elderly,the elderly group is also a constructive force that cannot be ignored and can play a more active and constructive role in social life and Gerontological Social Work.This study described the development process,carrier and effect of the mutual-support relationship among members of the self-organization for the elderly called H in M city,which had been running for more than 10 years.Subsequently,this study analyzed the characteristics and influencing factors of the mutual-support relationship in cities,and proposed relevant improvement paths on the basis of analyzing the problems in the development of the mutual-support relationship.It was found that the goal of constructing a mutual-support relationship within the self-organization of the elderly showed the characteristics of building a spiritual home and pursuing the realization of self-worth;in the rights and interests of the participants,the equality of status,the non-utility of purpose and the multiple interaction of identity were shown;and in terms of construction method,it was a combination of online and offline,and internal and external organization.The main factors influencing the establishment and maintenance of the mutual-support relationship were the group identity developed by the participating subjects on the relationship of interest,and the benign interactions based on interpersonal trust among organizational members;the university for the elderly provided cohesive support,and the self-organization for the elderly as a communication platform ensured close member exchanges,as well as the organization's charisma and the dedication and dedication of key members;there was also the information society background,family support network and the aging society construction of "old people learn" and "old people do".There are also the following problems in the mutual-support relationship of self-organization for the elderly: the society has the wrong understanding of self-organization for the elderly,the inter-departmental communication in the organization needs to be strengthened;the resources drawn from the organizational environment are insufficient;the naturalreplacement of the participating subjects faces challenges.These problems affect or even restrict the sustainable development of mutual assistance and pension relationships directly or indirectly.Therefore,this study proposes the following Suggestions based on the roles and functions of social workers involved: Social workers should actively play the role of resource integrator,empowerer,relationship coordinator,and policy advocate,and promote the sustainable development of urban mutual-support relationships.
