Disabled persons are special groups,because of their own physiological barriers,they can not get the archival information like normal people,participate in social labor,and integrate into social life.It is necessary for the whole society to help the disabled to overcome the physical obstacles so that they can participate in the social activities like the healthy people and share the convenience brought by the social development.This social welfare project involves most institutions and sectors of society.Archives,as the institutions providing archival information services to the public,should also participate in the social engineering of providing barrier-free services for the disabled.Provision of archival information services for persons with disabilities,services to improve the lives of persons with disabilities,and protection of disabilities The basic rights and interests of the human group is an important embodiment of the realization of archival work.This paper investigates 10 archives in Fuzhou area,and fully understands the present situation of the service for the disabled in the archives.Obtaining truthful and reliable data through on-site surveys,analysing the achievements and shortcomings of the current services for persons with disabilities in archives,and from the accessibility of archives,the system of services for persons with disabilities in archives,This paper analyzes the factors influencing the service of the disabled in archives from three aspects,such as the consciousness of service for the disabled in archives.This article focuses on improving the accessibility facilities of archives,innovating barrier-free service mode,deepening the content of barrier-free service,and extending it.This paper discusses on the specific strategies of improving the service for the disabled in archives from several aspects,such as wide barrier-free service channels,formulation of trade service guidelines,promotion of barrier-free construction of archives websites,and enumerates typical cases of archives abroad.The theoretical research on the service of the disabled in archives provides a good theoretical basis for the development of practical work in the future.
