With the rapid progress of the world economy and culture,in order to adapt to the new forms of development,the execution of penalties has gradually developed in the direction of light punishment and non-custodial.On the one hand,in order to reduce the cost of penalties,on the other hand,in order to make penalties more and more humanistic.Community correction is maturing in developed countries.In order to meet the needs of harmonious social development,community correction has gradually emerged in China,but the community correction in China has started relatively late.Although it has achieved certain achievements since it was piloted in 2003 until its full implementation,on the whole,There are still many deficiencies in the actual work in various regions of China that need to be perfected.It is important to explore ways of community correction that meet the National conditions of our country,improve the efficiency of work,allow community correction personnel to return to their families,successfully complete the process of re-socialization,and maintain social stability.In this paper,the Xigang Road Street Office is the object of study,using literature analysis,case analysis and questionnaire survey to explore and analyze the problems existing in the community correction work.Firstly,the concept,scope of application,stage division and type of community correction are introduced and explained as the basis of theoretical research in this paper.Secondly,the paper analyzes the current situation of community correction in Xigang Road Street Office by means of questionnaire survey,and finds out the main problems in the implementation of community correction: the legislative basis needs to be improved.There is a lack of social participation,the lack of smooth integration of various functional departments,the general public’s distrust of community correction work,and the re-offending of community correction objects.At the same time,based on the above problems,the main causes of community correction problems are analyzed,including backward community correction cognition,lack of effective management and guarantee system,and imperfect team building.In the end,the thesis makes a study on improving countermeasures from four aspects: establishing correct cognition,improving management mechanism,improving team building and preventing reoffending.According to the practical work of the basic level judicial office in Xigang Road Street,for current situation,the work innovation point of case psychological counseling,supplemented by small group psychological counseling,actively cares about the psychological problems of community correction objects,and takes this as a starting point to carry out ideological education.In order to achieve the purpose of community correction.
