A Research Of College Student's Legal Literacy Under The Background Of The Rule Of Law

The construction of the rule by law in China is in full swing.The rule by law is a basic way for running the country,which has been embodied in core socialist values and become the common value of all the people.Also the construction of the rule by law in China needs the participation of thousands of college students who have legal literacy.Therefore,it's important to know how the legal literacy of today's college students was and whether it can ensure the smooth implementation of the rule by law.This thesis adopts the methods of questionnaire investigation and case analysis to have an overall understanding of college students' legal literacy at present.Then it comes up with some existing problems among college students.Finally countermeasures for improving college students' legal literacy have been put forward according to the research results.The first chapter is prolegomenon about the background information and meanings of this paper.It summarizes status of these researches in college student's legal literacy at home and aboard by literature consulting,which lay a foundation for this thesis.The second chapter outlines the related theories.First of all,this paper discusses the differences between “quality” and “literacy” for rigorous wording by consulting relevant data in ancient and modern.Then it gives a brief introduction of “the rule by law” which is closely link with this topic and defines the phrase “legal literacy”.At last it illustrates theoretical guidance,including socialist idea of rule by law and The process of ideological and political education—the formation and development of one's ideological quality.Besides,the author emphasizes the necessities and importance of improving college students' legal literacy,which also is the need of the construction of the rule by law in China and realization of human's free and overall development.The third chapter analyzes the present situation of college students' legal literacy and its causes.Although the legal literacy training of college students have made certain achievements by the interaction of internal and external factors,the author finds out the problems that exist in college students' legal literacy during the investigation in five universities in Guilin.This chapter gives a brief introduction of the structure of designing questionnaire and the situation of releasing and collecting the questionnaire.According to the research results,the author pays more attention to the problems and finds out the causes of it.The fourth chapter put forward the countermeasures for improving college students' legal literacy.It explores the way of improving college students' legal literacy under the background of the rule by law from four perspectives of society,campus,family and individual.In the last part,the conclusion of the dissertation is drawn with its meanings,aims and contents.Also it points out the problems to be solved at present and the direction in the future.
