A Study On The Education Of Rule By Law Of College Students Under The Background Of China 's Construction

Legal construction becomes the theme of the era since the 18th of the National People’s Congress of the Communist Party of China. In November 2013, "The decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on major issues concerning comprehensively deepening the reform" which was passed on the third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, explicitly pointed out that "to promote the construction of rule of law in China" is the goal of the construction of rule of law in the new period of our country. The "decision" indicated:"the authority of the law comes from the people’s inner support and sincere faith. The rights and interests of the people are protected by law, and the authority of the law depends on the maintenance of the people. We must carry forward the spirit of socialist rule of law, build a socialist rule of law culture, enhance social rule of law enforcement of the enthusiasm and initiative, creating law-abiding glorious, illegal disgraceful social atmosphere, making all the people become socialist rule of law of the faithful advocate, consciously observer, a staunch defender of the formation". This requires us not only set off from the national level to Innovate national governance system and governance capacity in the construction strategy of rule of law in China, while design the regime, we ought to starting from the social level, advocate all the people to obey the law, make use of the law, and let the concept of rule of law deeply rooted in people’s mind, and build a society ruled by law. Obviously, this requires a higher ability of our citizens’participation in public affairs, and that is not only to have the legal consciousness, but also to learn how to use the idea of rule of law to deal with problems. College students being builders and successors of the socialist cause, is the main force of the construction of rule of law in China businesses, and their cultivation of the level of consciousness of the law and the idea of rule of law, in the present law-related education is a major issue.This paper is written by the way of finding the problem-analysising of the problem-solving the problem. Based on the survey datas of the current college students’legal consciousness and the idea of rule of law, the situation of CollegeStudents’ legal literacy is analyzed. After the discovery of the current situation of the low legal consciousness of the contemporary college students, the author explores the causes of the status quo. Introducing the theoretical framework of citizenship education, combining with the times background of the rule of law, to explore the value of the law education reform needs to achieve the goal, that is, the training of College Students’ democratic spirit and the rule of law literacy. In order to realize the value goal, it is necessary to reshape the concept of law-related education, reform the content of law-related education, and innovate the path of law-related education. The introduction part explains the background, the domestic and foreign research status, as well as the research ideas, methods of the paper and so on. The main body consists of three chapters.The first chapter is the survey results based on Kunming City eight college students legal consciousness and legal thinking. Analysis concluded that the contemporary college students in terms of legal consciousness are lack of legal knowledge, behavior selection bias, right consciousness is weak, the awareness of law-abiding is weak; and analysis the reasons of those problems, both historical and cultural factors, and there are some realistic factors. Thus draws the conclusion that law-related education reform is imperative.The second chapter introduces the theoretical framework and the background of the times. First of all, to make a survey on a total of national citizenship education. Citizenship education is an important way to cultivate qualified citizens all over the world. Citizens to participate in social life need to have a certain civic virtue, in the dimension of civic education, this kind of virtue is the spirit of democracy. Under the background of the rule of law in China, law-related education, on the one hand, need to cultivate the democratic spirit of college students, strengthen the consciousness of the subject; on the other hand, need to have the rule of law literacy, cultivate the legal consciousness and the idea of rule of law.The third chapter discusses the mode of law-related education. Law-related education is not merely rest on its laurels on the basis of the course of "Ideological and moral cultivation and the legal basis", we should re-examine the status of law-related education in higher education, updating the concept of law-related education. The main content of College Students’ law-related education is the cultivation of legal consciousness and the rule of law thinking. In order to cultivate college students’legal literacy, the role of traditional education is to be carried on, meanwhile, we need to open up a new plan for law-related education.
