On "Self-activity" In The German Ideology Based On The Chapter Of Feuerbach

"self-activity" is the core category of Marx's construction of the system of historical materialism.It is not only related to the contradictory movement between productive forces and forms of communications,but also represents the different degrees of the realization of human's free and comprehensive development.The analysis and interpretation of "self-activity" is inseparable from the textual study of "Feuerbach" in the German Ideology.The paper can be divided into three parts: the first part attempts to return to the historical context in which the thought of "self-activity" came into being,exploring the western philosophical and cultural tradition on which the thought of "self-activity" was formed and developed,and combing through the thought of "self-activity" in Marx's early classic works.The second part focuses on three different aspects that reflect the formation of "self-activity",including division of labor,world market and world history,community,and attempts to use these three aspects to reflect the realization degree of "self-activity" in human history,The paper argues that the complete realization of "self-activity" means that the establishment of a new division of labor based on the development needs of human capabilities,the complement of world market and world history which updates the narrow regional nature of personal communication,the complete realization degree of "self-activity" also means "the false community" — class society are replaced by the true community--"the commonwealth of free people".The third part focuses on the relationship between "self-activity" and historical materialism,points out that historical materialism is always based on the reality of individuals and human activities,and can be understood from the logical system and value system.Realistic individuals change the relationship between human beings and nature,society and history through objectification activities,which is the initial form of the elements generated by the logical system,while the changing relationships between human beings and nature,society and history reflect some changes of values.As the core category of Marx's conception of history,"self-activity" is the key to understand the dialectical relationships between the logical system and the value system of his conception of history.
