In the past 40 years,China has implemented a tight family planning policy,which effectively controlled the population scale of China's rapid expansion at that time and made great contributions to the rapid economic and social development.However,the family planning policy brings risks to the only-child families who strictly abide by the policy,and the biggest risk for the only-child families is the accidental death of the only child.Compared with urban area,the rural area has higher fertility rate,lower childbearing age,higher population mortality rate.It means that more only-child will die after marriage and childbirth in the rural areas,and the only-child family will be transformed into the only-child-died family with grandchildren.Only-child-died elderly with grandchildren entering the old age,facing the problem of providing for the aged.This study focuses on the pension problem of the only-child-died elderly with grandchildren in rural areas.Through the investigation of the pension situation of the only-child-died elderly with grandchildren in X and Y counties of Chongqing and Sichuan,we can understand the pension situation,put forward and test the hypothesis,and find the pension problems encountered by the only-child-died elderly with grandchildren in their unique situation.Then,according to the analysis of the problem of only-child-died elderly with grandchildren,the paper puts forward the countermeasures to improve the social support of the only-child-died elderly with grandchildren.This research focuses on the pension problem of the only-child-died elderly with grandchildren in rural areas.From the perspective of ecosystem theory and social support theory,through the investigation of the pension situation of the only-child-died elderly with grandchildren in X county and Y County,we understand the pension situation of the only-child-died elderly with grandchildren in rural areas in three aspects: micro,medium and macro.Then through the analysis,it is found that there are similarities and particularities between the only-child-died elderly with grandchildren in rural areas,which can be divided into general needs and problems and the contradictions under special circumstances.The former includes:psychological service demand,elderly care demand and physical health problem,social support demand and family problem,social support problem,community participation demand and support policy problem;the latter includes: the contradiction between raising grandchildren and economic problem,the contradiction between caring for grandchildren and lack of energy,the contradiction between educating grandchildren and low education level,the contradiction between missing grandchildren and visiting blocked Contradiction.Further,according to the current situation,needs,contradictions and problems of the only-child-died elderly with grandchildren in rural areas,the following countermeasures are put forward: for general needs and problems,psychological treatment should be popularized,classified and orderly counseling;attention tophysical health,implementation of policy care;promotion of respite service,implemention of institutional pension;comfort from the community,encouragement of family reconstruction;dynamic economic subsidies,promotion of re-employment;various ways of support,drawing on advanced experience.In view of the four pairs of contradictions encountered in the special situation of the only-child-died elderly with grandchildren,we should care for the growth of their grandchildren and participate in many ways;guide their grandchildren to stand on their feet and support the elderly who raised them;improve policies and laws to ensure they can visit the grandchildren.
