Under the condition of information,Combat form and military action has been changed constantly and become increasingly complex,which requires officers to have a strong leadership.Cadets are reserve forces of the officer corps so that developing leadership of cadets can help to enhance the quality of officer team,strengthen the construction of military organization and improve the level of battle effectiveness.At present,military academy mainly through the course of learning and management practices to improve the leadership of cadets,but its development effect is not ideal.So it is necessary to explore a more feasible and effective leadership development model for cadets.In fact,coaching technology has been applied to management and achieved satisfactory performance in some governments and companies at home and abroad.The coaching technology advocates people-oriented,self-excavation,experiential learning and follow-up feedback,which provides a new perspective for the development of cadets' leadership.Through the literature review,author found that there are many studies on coaching,but few of which combines cadets' leadership development.Therefore,the author puts forward the research on the leadership development model of cadets based on coaching,and tries to explore a new model of leadership development suitable for military cadets.This paper mainly uses method of literature research,case analysis,model construction and experimental verification,and based on the theory of leadership development and action learning,coaching technique and military education environment.The author extracts and analyzes elements from typical models on coaching management and leadership development,constructs a framework of cadets' leadership development model based on coaching,and determines the development content and activities with supporting.At last,the experiment is carried out to test the effectiveness of the model in the "Leadership Training Camp" of National University of Defense Technology,and the model improvement measures are put forward according to the experimental results,and countermeasures are put forward to improve the model according to the results of experiment.The study draws the following conclusions,the first,cadets had a strong interest and a high satisfaction with the constructed model.The second,cadets can adapt and accept the constructed model well.The third,cadets' self-leadership was significantly provided after training through constructed model.The fourth,cadets' communication skills were significantly provided after training through the constructed model.
