A Study On The Modern Special Relationship Between Laos And Vietnam

In the process of pursuing national independence and liberation,Laos and Vietnam have formed and established a kind of special relationship.The special relationship between Laos and Vietnam became one of the most important bilateral relations in Southeast Asia,and had a great impact on the situation in the surrounding areas during the Cold War.With the changes of international situation after the Cold War,the two countries have adjusted their special bilateral relations.However,the essence of the bilateral relations has not changed,the two sides still maintain this unity beyond the general friendly state-to-state relations.In recent years,the relations between China and Vietnam have fluctuated from time to time because of the South China Sea dispute.In addition,ASEAN is becoming one of the most important regional multilateral organizations in the world.Thus,from the background of this,the trend of the special relationship between Laos and Vietnam,in particular,will be of great importance to us.This paper analyzes and discusses the historical context,characteristics,causes of formation,developing trends and influences on me of the special relationship between Laos and Vietnam,mainly from the view of politics,economy,military and society.And finally this paper tries to deduce the development tendency of the special relationship between Laos and Vietnam on the basis of the previous studies,analyze the influence s on our country and put forward the countermeasures and suggestions to deal with the special relationship between Laos and Vietnam.
