Human trafficking is a complex and dynamic phenomenon that is affected by socio-economic disparities, weak governance systems, and differences in laws.People are often trafficked within regions, each with its distinct forms and dynamics. Some of the most extensive and diverse human trafficking patterns take place in and between the six countries(Cambodia,Lao PDR,Myanmar,China,Vietnam,Thailand)of the Great Mekong Sub-region,with new practices of exploitation regularly emerging. This study analyses from one side the situation of cross-border cooperation on the anti-human trafficking in the GMS and from the other side the reasons of the human trafficking.I remark that the situation is still restrictive. In GMS,six countries have signed the <Memorandum of Understanding> as a base of their cooperation. But due to the differences between countries' Criminal Law,they have different interpretation of the human trafficking, which affect their cooperation in anti-human trafficking.Furthermore, six countries take a lot of effort in combatting human trafficking but pay few attentions to victims' protection which in fact plays an important role in combating human trafficking. This paper will focus on the legal issue and victims' protection in order to provide a point of view in GMS's cooperation in combating human trafficking.
