The Evaluation Of The Effect Of Youth Community Participation From The Perspective Of Social Work

As the master of communities in the future,teenagers are promoters in the development of communities.Their participation not only pushes forward the development of communities but also exerts influence on themselves as well.Being the main environment in which teenagers grow,communities occupy an important position in their growth.The resources of communities constitute an indispensable part of teenagers'growth and education.For instance,their participation of activities in the neighborhoods contributes to an enhanced sense of identity of those communities,the cultivation of their sense of responsibility and duty as well as their socialization.Their participation not only is conducive to their development but also brings out a certain effect on the neighborhoods.Through their involvement of activities,youngsters can facilitate the participation of families and other residences,which effectively urges the young,middle-aged and the old to take part in the integration,joint-building,and-sharing of regions.However,due to various factors,youngsters hardly participate in those activities.Although they are willing to do so,practical actions are still sparsely taken.This paper aims at analyzing the effect of the teenagers' participation in the"Youth Six Star" program from the perspective of social work.It takes into account the question of how to better promote teenagers'participation in community activities and assesses the program on the subjective attitude aspect as well as on the objective environment.The results show that the program is successful to some degree since it provides a platform for teenagers'participation and promotes their sense of participation as well as the participation of other members of the communities.But there is still a long way to go,for there are still many difficulties as teenagers' lacking active participation,families' ignorance of participation and the ineffective intervention of institutions.At the end of the paper,the author gives some strategies and principles on how to deal with those issues further,suggesting that their ways of participation should be broadened,incentive mechanism should be established and the publicity role of schools as well as the effectiveness evaluation of communities should be enhanced.
