The Research On City Diplomacy Of Baoding

Around the world,international communication between cities are becoming more and more frequent.Cities act as more and more likely as main part in the diplomatic events.In the60~thh anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries,General Secretary Xi Jinping's congress speech clearly put forward the concept of“city diplomacy”,“people-to-people diplomacy”,“public diplomacy”,and emphasized to promote resource sharing,complementary advantages and win-win cooperation to promote the city diplomacy and the local exchanges between China and other countries,and we would work better to develop international sister-cities.It shows that city diplomacy has become a part of China's diplomatic official discourse system,and has received more explicit attention.As an important hinterland city in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei cities cluster,Baoding has obvious geographical advantages.The promotion of Baoding's city diplomacy can not only promote the circulation of Baoding's production circulation in the international market,but also help to drive the development of the capital economic belt around Peking and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regional city cluster.It also helps to realize the Belt and Road Initiative,and to expand the external influence of Chinese cities.Based on the summarizing of the relevant theories and practices of city diplomacy to analyze the status of Baoding's city diplomacy,which makes deep observation and induction of the mode,characteristics,operation mechanism and achievements of Baoding's city diplomacy to find the problems and countermeasures.In this paper,Shanghai and Yangzhou are selected as reference cases.According to the problems,specific countermeasures are put forward to discuss how to use the city diplomatic ways to arise the enthusiasm of production of Baoding City,so as to help make Baoding more and more opening to the world.
