The continuing economic downturn,terrorist attacks and refugee crisis in Western Europe have not only exacerbated the complexity of the immigration issue,but also contributed to the rapid rise of right-wing populist parties.Right-wing populist parties aim at anti-globalization,anti-immigration and anti-establishment,and their increasing legitimacy and influence have a profound impact on the formulation,implementation and development of immigration policies in western European countries.Therefore,the study on the influence of right-wing populist parties in Western Europe on the immigration policy making process is of certain significance to understand the immigration problem in Europe and related policy response.According to the study,the rise of right-wing populism in Western Europe is closely related to the refugee crisis,the failure of traditional parties to govern immigration,and the contribution of mass media to the immigration problem.Right-wing populist parties have made limiting immigration and resisting foreign cultures their core anti-immigrant advocacy.In the legislative body,such parties influence the formulation of immigration policies by enhancing political legitimacy and using political functions.Outside the legislative body,they use online and online media and organize offline demonstrations to incite anti-immigrant sentiment and expand the public support base of their anti-immigrant policies.Traditional mainstream political parties need to calm and cautious about the rise of populist right-wing parties.Immigration governance not only need to grasp a humanitarian spirit and immigration management means of balance and coordinate the relationship between the interests of local residents and immigrants,preventing immigration edgy,but also further reflect and improve its own shortcomings,and adopt relevant measures to resist the extreme influence of right-wing populist parties.
