A Study On The Spiritual Consolation Of The Elderly Living Alone In Cities By Case Work

With the development of social economy and the aggravation of population aging,the empty nest elderly,as a vulnerable group of society,has attracted the general attention of the whole society.As a special group of empty nest old people,most of them have to live alone because of their widows,loss of independence,divorce and other reasons,and they have no children or relatives to accompany them.The long-term living alone has made some changes in their psychological and life.The author found that due to the implementation of the old-age security policy,the urban elderly living alone in daily life have been better care,but the spiritual comfort of care is missing.This study is based on the purchase of social organization services by the District Civil Affairs Bureau to promote the relevant work of precision assistance,and to provide individual assistance for the elderly in trouble in the area.After understanding the basic situation of the elderly,the author estimates the needs of their spiritual comfort and makes specific intervention plans according to the estimates.The author intervened ten times in three stages from the three levels of m old man himself,relatives and society.The first stage is to use case work skills such as life review therapy to provide spiritual consolation for the elderly,meet the needs of the elderly's personality respect,and eliminate loneliness;the second stage is to reconstruct the close relationship between the elderly and their relatives,build a two-way communication channel,and play the role of relatives' emotional support for the elderly;After three stages of case service,the service effect of the case is evaluated from two aspects of process and result.At last,the author summarizes the effectiveness of case work to intervene in the spiritual consolation of the elderly living alone in cities and the key to solve the problem.At the same time,it reflects on the singleness of case work in the practice process and the lack of professional ethics in the practice of case work.
