From "Contact" To "Competition"

In 2017,after Trump took office,the first National Security Strategy Report was released.Unlike the previous National Security Reports of previous governments,this report shifted the strategic center of the United States to the "great power competition",while China is a big power.The main competitor of the competition,a series of reports have since treated China as a "competitor".The US strategy on China has changed,forming a "competitive" strategy that differs from the previous "contact" strategy.Since diplomacy with the United States is a top priority in China’s diplomatic strategic layout,the transformation of the US strategy toward China will certainly affect the direction of Sino-US relations to some extent.The full text is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is an introduction,which mainly introduces the research status of domestic and foreign scholars on Sino-US relations and the research methods of this article.The second chapter focuses on the formation and evolution of the US "contact" strategy with China after the Cold War,thus laying the foundation for Trump’s transformation of China’s strategy after taking office.Chapter 3 mainly discusses the transformation of the Trump administration’s post-Cold War U.S."contact" strategy,including economic,trade,mechanism,security,technology,humanities and other strategic levels.On this basis,it deeply analyzes the U.S.The characteristics of strategy and implementation of competition with China and the resulting impact.Chapter 4 mainly analyzes the reasons for the change of US strategy toward China from the perspective of AHP.This part takes domestic politics serving international politics as the basic foothold.On this basis,it discusses the impact of changes in the international system environment on individual leaders and domestic society,so as to promote factors such as individual leaders,domestic society and the international system to work together in the country Foreign policy lays the foundation for a correct understanding of the current US strategy to China.The last chapter puts forward countermeasures and manages the differences between the two countries from a strategic height and self-building on the basis ofsummarizing the previous article.At the same time,based on the fact that the position of power between China and the United States is approaching and China has no intention of overthrowing the current international order,this article also predicts the prospects for the development of Sino-US relations.Large-scale conflicts and wars will not erupt,and competition will become the norm in the future development of Sino-US relations.This article concludes that the United States will continue to enrich the content of the "competitive" strategy and refine the means of the "competitive" strategy.
