A Case Study Of Social Work Intervention In The Services For The Solitary Disabled

In China,the disabled are a huge and special group among social vulnerable groups.Caring for the disabled groups and improving the quality of life of the disabled are the inevitable requirements of the development of socialist disabled cause with Chinese characteristics.As a very special existence in the disabled group,the solitary disabled should be cared and valued by the country and the society.With the rapid expansion of China's economic strength and the improvement of social security system for the disabled in recent years,the solitary disabled are receiving more and more attention and support.This paper takes the solitary disabled served by the SN social work site in Wuhou District,Chengdu City,Sichuan Province as an example,using the methods of literature research and field research,on the basis of discussing the feasibility and necessity of social work intervention for the solitary disabled,we apply the theoretical perspectives and practical methods of social work intervention to the service for the solitary disabled.In the research: it is found that the living and production conditions of the disabled living alone are unsatisfactory.In addition to the basic daily life and medical assistance difficulties caused by economic difficulties,they lack effective support at the individual spiritual level.As a result,there is a requirement for the social workers to provide personalized services for the group of the solitary disabled from a professional perspective through professional methods.It is proved that the nature of social work and scientific knowledge and methods play an important role in the services for the solitary disabled.It is necessary and feasible for social work intervention in the support services for the solitary disabled.At the same time,the national and social policies for the disabled provide a solid support for social work intervention for the solitary disabled.This paper focuses on the content and process of social work intervention of the Mrs.Chen,and provides practical experience for the development of social work intervention of the elderly and the development of social work for the disabled.
