The Study On Third-party Assessment Of Government Performance

In recent years,the third-party assessment of government performance has developed rapidly at the national and local levels,which has effectively improved the credibility of the government,and also helped to improve the supervision mechanism of government performance.It can be said that entrusting the third-party to asses government performance has become an effective means to improve the government governance ability.However,there are still some problems in the development process,such as the lack of independence of the third-party assessment,the lack of professionalism,the backward hardware facilities and technical support,the inadequate feedback and application of the assessment results and so on.In the current situation of our country,it is very urgent to solve the problems existing in the practice of the third-party assessment of government performance from what aspects and what measures should be taken in combination with the existing theoretical research results and practical experience.This paper selects two typical third-party assessment methods of government performance in Sichuan Province,namely,the assessment of universities(or research institutes)and the assessment of commercial institutions,as cases,analyzes the problems existing in the third-party assessment of government performance in combination with relevant theories and practical experience,in order to better promote the performance of China's government Development of effective third-party assessment.
