Research On Marx's Space Thought

Space and time are the basic existence forms to material movement,and also the basic dimensions for the development of human society and the maintenance of civilization.Space and time have always been rooted in human practice.However,in the field of humanities and social sciences,there is an imbalance in the discussion of the two dimensions of space and time.The focus of the "time dimension" is under the spotlight of history,while the parallel "space dimension" has been forgotten in the corner.For a long time,"Space" was explored and researched in the traditional sense of the "space science",in this kind of research view,the "space" is represented as a one-dimensional physical space,more specifically,which is independent of man's practice activity of a purely objective,stationary,material object,it plays the role of "container" of human practice in essence.This kind of situation gradually reversed in the 1970 s,"space" began to rise,new marxist represented by Henry Lefebvre has carried on the extensive research and discussion on Marx thoughts of space,which turn attention from study of time to the study of space,and it provides us with many useful theoretical inspirations for the study of Marx's space thought.In the past,people studied the space problem from different disciplines,which led to the confusion of space concept.First of all,before we go into Marx's idea of space,this paper interprets the concept of space,and analyzes the development of the concept of "space" from the perspective of ancient Greece and modern space.At the same time,starting from the three sources of marxist philosophy,this paper tries to explore the theoretical sources of Marx's space thought,and on this basis,sort out the related works of Marx,and clarify the formation process of Marx's space thought.Secondly,the meaning of Marx's space thought is discussed.In Marx's perspective,space is not an abstract concept,but a product of human practice.Based on practice and capital logic,Marx expounded the development context of space from "natural space to social space","rural space to urban space" and "capitalist global space production",highlighting the reality,sociality and history of space.It also exposes and criticizes the unjust problems in the process of spatial development,such as the spatial opposition between the countryside and the city,the homogeneity of the space,and the spatialdeprivation of the backward community in the global spatial exhibition of capitalism.Finally,the contemporary value of Marx's spatial thought is analyzed at both theoretical and practical levels.From the perspective of theoretical significance,the study of Marx's space thought with practice and capital as its purport has made up for the deficiency of traditional marxist space thought and advanced the research of China's space theory.From a practical point of view,it provides theoretical support and inspiration for China to actively deal with the space dilemma in the process of modernization,innovate China's urban and rural space development and build the socialist urban and rural integration spatial pattern with Chinese characteristics,as well as the "community of shared future for mankind" under the principle of extensive consultation,joint contribution and shared benefits.
