In December 2019,starting from Wuhan City,Hubei Province, there have been frequent cases of people infected with new coronavirus pneumonia in various parts of our country. He paid close attention to this sudden risk event and brought many difficulties and obstacles to the life, work and study of the people across the country.Local governments and health committees have issued corresponding policies to encourage public segregation at home, and the education department has also issued notices to delay the start of school.Due to the great impact and wide spread of this emergency,it has caused a series of hot issues in the whole society. In the face of the threat posed by this severe risk event, and the public stayed at home for a long time during this period. With the increase in risk perception,it is possible to consider the impact of this pneumonia event on the future development of the country and its own life, work and learning, and different psychological reactions will occur. The public's demand for information on new coronavirus pneumonia is sharp Growth will in turn lead to different risk information search behaviors,so this study aims to explore the impact of risk events on the public's risk information search behavior in the context of this new coronavirus pneumonia emergency.Based on the Risk Information Seeking and Processing Model(RISP)and Planned Risk Information Searching Model(PRISM),the impact of pneumonia risk events on the public 's information search behavior is summarized and analyzed to construct public risk Conceptual model of information search behavior, and then verify the model through empirical investigation and structural equation model. The research in this paper found that perceived knowledge, risk perception, channel trust, and information demand are the main influencing factors of risk information search behavior. The research results show that in the context of risk events spread by the new coronavirus, the public's perception knowledge has a predictive effect on risk perception. The public who feels that they have more information about the risk of the new coronavirus pneumonia will have a higher risk perception.Public perception knowledge positively affects risk perception.Perceived knowledge also plays an important role in predicting information needs and information search behavior intentions.Perceived knowledge has a significant positive effect on information needs and information search behavior intentions.Risk perception has a significant positive effect on information demand and information search behavior intentions.Information needs have a significant effect on predicting information search behavior intentions.Information needs have a significant positive effect on information search behavior intentions. The public who assesses their own information needs for higher risk of new coronaviruses are more willing to carry out the risk of new coronavirus transmission.Information search behavior.Information demand plays a full intermediary role in perceiving knowledge and information search behavior intentions, and information demand plays a partial intermediary role in risk perception and information search behavior intentions. In addition, the public's trust in the information channel can strongly predict the public's intention of information search behavior, and channel trust has a significant positive effect on the information search behavior intention.More than half of the subjects in this study believe that the government can strive for maximum protection for the public in decision-making,but that less than half of the subjects believe that the government can provide the latest information about this risk event in time, and that the government can truthfully inform about resistance The facts and progress of the epidemic are close to half of the subjects, and the public generally believe that the government has the ability to respond to and solve various problems in the process of anti-epidemic.In other words, the public has a relatively high degree of trust in the government, but at the same time, the public has higher requirements for the timeliness and authenticity of the information released by the government. The research results also indicates that risk communication should pay more attention to the communication channels for risk information between the government and the public, including the credibility and immediacy of the information channels. The public obtains information through mobile network information channels(such as news media and social media)to a higher degree, which is inseparable from their daily habits of using mobile phones and other mobile terminals. The results of the study show that the public tends to obtain information from multiple sources at the same time, rather than "just listening to one family".Therefore, government departments should build an information release mechanism that meets public information needs, publicize and disseminate security information in multiple ways, and guide the public to respond to the epidemic correctly and rationally. When publishing information, the government should pay more attention to the immediacy of information and increase the government 's public trust degree.
