In modern society,prison,as the executing organ of penalty,is responsible for consolidating the stability of political power,striking and preventing criminal crimes,punishing and reforming criminals,and maintaining social stability and harmony.Prison management is an important part of social management.With the rule of law becoming the goal of legal construction in modern civilized society,more and more attention has been paid to prison management.As the last link of national law enforcement,the success or failure of prison execution is directly related to the effective implementation of the penalty system,as well as the implementation of the rule of law in the whole country.In recent years,with the participation of women in social,political,economic and cultural construction,becoming an important force in social development,the crime rate of women is also rising,in which the proportion of women criminals with severe punishment is not negligible.As a special group,female criminals have come into people’s sight and become the research object of scholars.Women criminals are different from men.They have the characteristics of weak willpower,narrow-minded,easy to be emotional,heavy family concept and so on.Moreover,women criminals with severe punishment have a long term of imprisonment and are prone to be pessimistic and disappointed about the future,resulting in negative words and deeds.Therefore,for the management and transformation of female prisoners of severe punishment,we should not only make clear that they are criminals who have been punished according to law in violation ofnational laws,but also consider their special physiological,psychological,behavior and other characteristics,and take targeted corrective measures according to the actual situation,so as to promote the smooth return of female prisoners of severe punishment,so as to achieve the purpose of reforming criminals and better maintain the harmonious and stable development of society.This thesis mainly takes "the management of female prisoners in N prison" as the research object,through the introduction,it is divided into five parts.The first part: a brief introduction to the concept of criminal management.The second part: through the work practice,summarizes the general situation of the female prisoners in N prison,expounds the physiological,psychological and behavioral characteristics of the female prisoners in N prison from the special perspective of women,and combs the current situation of the management of the female prisoners in N prison.The third part: through the method of questionnaire and interview,to understand the problems of N prison in the management of female prisoners of severe punishment,and analyze the reasons,in order to provide background reference for improving the management of female prisoners of severe punishment.The fourth part: learn from the experience of foreign criminal management,to provide enlightenment for our prison work.The fifth part: combined with the actual situation of N prison,respectively,from the four aspects of improving the concept of execution,improving the management mechanism of criminals,strengthening the quality of the prison police team,and increasing the strength of social cohesion,this paper puts forward reasonable suggestions and Countermeasures for the management of female prisoners in N prison.N prison,as a prison in Shanghai,has accumulated some experience in the management of female criminals for many years and formed a management mode with its own characteristics.At the same time,N prison also encountered some difficult problems in the process of management and transformation of female prisoners,some of which originated from the defects of the top-level design,some of which are related to the shortcomings of the prison’s own management system.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the countermeasures to improve the management and transformation of female prisoners of severe punishment.It is our duty and mission as prison police,our goal and direction of work,and an indispensable aspectof the continuous progress of social civilization that how to correct the bad thought and behavior of female prisoners of severe punishment,help them to rebuild their personality,and enable them to return to society smoothly and become law-abiding social citizens.
