In our study,we used Maslach Burnout Inventory-Educators Survey(MBI-ES)and Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS)as our research tools.We regarded 407 teachers from primary,middle and high schools in Yangxin county of Hubei province as our subjects.The aim of our study was to investigate the overall condition of teachers' job burnout in the region and differences of teachers in every demographic variable,and the relationships between job burnout and social support with the help of the statistics software SPSS19.0.The main conclusions of our study are as follows:Frist,in this region,the teachers' job burnout phenomenon is common.The teachers' job burnout did not reach a serious level,in these three dimensions,the highest was emotional exhaustion,followed by the low personal accomplishment dimension,the lowest was depersonalization.Second,there was not remarkable difference among teachers on gender,marital status,school location(towns or villages);the teachers' burnout was significantly different on age,teaching subjects,educational history,teaching experience and in charge or not.Third,the teachers' social support in the region had reached a comparatively high level.There were remarkable differences among teachers on gender and marital status.There was not remarkable difference among teachers on age.Fourth,the teachers' job burnout and social support in the region have significant negative correlation.Fifth,social support had distinctly predictive effect on the teachers' job burnout.Based on the above conclusion,the present research gives some suggestions that lighten the teachers' job burnout.
