The body has become the focus of many subjects and media since 1980s.Sociology of Body is emerging as a new subject. However, what academics do for this topic mainly focused on the field of politic, society and culture, and rarely reached the field of education, thus making the "body" an absent state in education.People is the purpose of education and body is an important part of man and his life. Therefore,It is the inevitable mission of education to concern the body of people.Kindergarten education is the beginning for people receiving formal education and an important part of basic education,so the first important problem in early childhood education should be focused on young children's body.An especially focus on its situation of the body in the basic life activities can help us see the real life of the children in the kindergarten and reflect the real situation of kindergarten education.Since dining activity is the important part of the kindergarten life activities,it is the base for the junior kindergarten who have just come from family life make sure they have enough energy to participate in other activities by adapting to the kindergarten collective dining activity. Therefore,in order to initiate people's review and reflection on the children's body, this study, which is based on the perspective of sociology of the body, seeks into the dining scene of the kindergarten class, observes the situation of the body of small children in dining activity, and pays attention to children's feeling and experience of the body in the activity at the same time. This study firstly uses the literature method to do a literature review on the relevant theories of sociology of body and related research of kindergarten dinning activities. And then mainly with the nonparticipant observation way, taking Guangxi Guilin A kindergarten as the research object, the author did on-site observation about the dining activities of two classes in the kindergarten. For each class,we did a month of observation, during which we have tried to collect more material by taking pictures, videos, and other forms of auxiliary. At last we collected a total number of 252 related cases. At the same time, with interview method,we did a formal interview with two preschool directors and eight caregivers that related with the two classes we observed.we also randomly selected 10 children from each class to learn about their inner feelings and experience in dining activity by informal interviews.Through observation and studies, this paper have found that a small child's body situation in dining activities are as follows:First of all, kindergarten children should adapt to the unified and regular mealtimes in eating activities, and adjust their body rhythm in the mealtime that arranged by teachers to adapt to the rhythm of the teacher;Secondly, children should adapt to finish their dining activity in the centralized and unified space and also accept the teachers' arrangements for dining seats; Finally, children in dining activity should follow the rules of the class, learn good habits and behavior of eating. In the process of adapting dining activities in the kindergarten, small children gradually formed three kinds of body shapes:(1)body shape under the stipulation and agreement of regulation(2)body shape under disciplinnary rules(3)body shape in socialization.Based on a small child's body situation in dining activities in the kindergarten and their experience where the three body shapes formed, the author thinks it necessary to review and reproduce children's body:keep a balance between the institutionalization of mealtime and young children's body and keep another balance between the dining discipline requirements and children's autonomous meals.
