Design And Application Of The Service System For Student Orientation And Graduation In Higher Institutions

With the development of the higher education in China,especially with the increase of enrolment,the merging of higher institutions,many of colleges and universities consist of several campuses and the traditional practices for managing the students’ orientation and graduation have become out of date.The management system is to be replaced by a safer and quicker Internet-based Service System for Student Orientation and Graduation.Although some universities have already had such systems,most of them are independent,with no connection to the university management system.This thesis aims to study and design a new service system for student orientation and graduation which fits well into the university management systems.This thesis gives a brief literature review of the researches and future prospects in the informationization of student services,analyses the importance and purpose of constructing the service system for student orientation and graduation,conducts a need analysis of the services,and as a result the main functions of the system are decided.The new Service System for Student Orientation and Graduation is designed in the mode of mvc2.0,with a detailed description of the services and sub-systems.OraclelOg is adopted to design the database of the system..Net 2.0 is used to design the major modules of the system.Open source software is used for the data exchange solution.The data integration and data safety and security solutions are also explained,as well as the user-friendly logon design.The system has been applied in Hunan University,which greatly improves the efficiency of the services for student orientation and graduation.
