The domestic and foreign information developing trend indicates that earth-shaking changes will appear in our work,life and learning and the direction and trend of education reform development in the future will be educational informatization,so is geographical teaching.From the geographical teaching practice in high school,we can see that static and abstract textbook knowledge and figures should be transformed into specific content to help students better understand geographical concepts and geographical rules.The application of interactive whiteboard in teaching cannot only assist the geography teaching,concretizing the abstract geographical knowledge,but can also meet the requirements of education technical reform.In addition,the use of interactive whiteboard in teaching may also improve students' interest in learning geography,help teachers better activate the class and also achieve the purpose of environmental protection.Currently,researches of this aspect are mostly about the big subjects,while there are rare researches about the small subjects,such as geography,politics,etc.,so the author thinks it is necessary to carry out this kind of research.By making use of this research,it cannot not only help us activate classroom atmosphere,lighten students' annoying about learning,but can also help us find problems from teaching,help the author master the use of interactive whiteboard,and can also provide reference or experience for first-line geographical teachers.In this paper,it reviewed and summarized literatures about the application of interactive whiteboard in classroom teaching and subject teaching,analyzed the current situation of application of interactive whiteboard in subject teaching in domestic and foreign researches and defined the concept of interactive whiteboard.By case analysis method,it combined the author's research about the main function of interactive whiteboard and high school PEP edition of geography textbooks,analyzed the content in textbooks that is available for the application of interactive whiteboard and explored show to integrate high school geographical teaching with main functions of interactive whiteboard in teaching practices.Secondly,it analyzed how to make use of the main functions of interactive whiteboard to carry out high school geographical classroomteaching and illustrated with examples,discovered the deficiencies of interactive whiteboard in high school geographical teaching and then concluded the application experiences of interactive whiteboard in high school geographical teaching.Based on school environment where the author locates in,the communication content with colleagues from the same group and the teaching experience,it proposed suggestions.The detailed suggestions are as follows: strengthen the communication between teachers and relevant training;perfect the resource library.With the wide application of interactive whiteboard in the education industry,more and more teachers carry out researches on it.However,limited by time,energy and ability of the author and some other objective reasons,the exploration of interactive whiteboard in high school geographical teaching is not in place and is superficial.The main deficiencies are as follows: the time that the author made use of interactive whiteboard in teaching practices is not much,so the author does not have a deep understanding about the main functions of interactive whiteboard;there is not much cases in the research;the shortage of geographical resources in the teaching resource library of interactive whiteboard is not processed and researched and only the original resources are used for teaching;the research method is lack of innovation and improvement.
