During the leapfrog development of Chinese urbanization, there is various voice from the society discussing the direction of the development as an increasing amount of issues, such as "city disease",has arisen."Rural-to-Urban" community is one of the representative types that appeared during urbanization.Because of the irreversible change of living space, the cultural foundation of a city has been impacted profoundly. However, academic study regarding this type of community, especially children living in this environment,is extremely rare, let alone any intervention in this group. The ultimate goal of a social worker is to study the evolution of individual, group and system. If one could not face the reality, the change itself would become the excuse of different interest groups and authorities.Even worse, evolution could become the pretext for severer inequity.Based on Organization Y's long-term and continuous research on "Rural-to-Urban" community, this study focused on children living in Village H,a miniature of these communities. As these children have a strong connection with the relationship embedded in the community-Village H,the problems they must encounter during their development and adjustment have both particularity and universality.Since we believe that every child has the ability and expectation to change the world and pursue happiness, this research would like to discuss the living condition and environment these children must face, then connect the child with this changing space with the support of the Space Production Theory. As for the intervention,we analyzed children's internal potential and preponderant resources from the perspective of advantages and through the "community-based" social education, especially through the resilience construction to assist them to actively respond any social changes along the urbanization. Finally, through the Action Study which focuses on knowledge construction and social change via a series of spiral cycle where process goals must be achieved to meet the ultimate goals, this study explored the concrete practical experiences in the social education of children living in the "Rural-to-Urban" communities in Chinese western areas.Meanwhile,we also reflected the role and function of social work in these issues.
