Breast cancer is a common malignant tumor will seriously threat to women's life and give negative impact on their body and psychological condition.Due to the uncertainty of the disease,the change of the original lifestyle,the change of social role,the decline of social support due to the long-term treatment and other reasons,breast cancer patients' sense of life meaning is easy to reduce which would result in suffer pain,depression and other emotions,decline the life satisfaction.The improvement of the quality of life of the patient is not only relate to healing of the body and the recovery of function,but also about the promotion of patient with cognitive meaning of life.This study used qualitative research methods to focus on the ways and means of exploring social work practice to improve the life meaning of breast cancer patient.The main purpose of this study is to find out the problems of patient's life meaning at first.Secondly,exploring ways and means to enhance the life meaning of breast cancer patient.The author attempted to use Life Review to strengthen the positive events during patients' cancer experience,underage life and adult life that patients could feel their emotional need had been satisfied and enhanced the sense of self-value.Meanwhile the author used the Rational-emotive Therapy to change the understanding of patients with negative events and help patients to change the unreasonable understanding of the disease and life.The thirst purpose is to summary the effect of the social work theory,methods and techniques to enhance the life meaning of breast cancer patients,and put proposal to the further better social work service by summarizing the whole intervention service.The study result shows that the use of Life Review and Rational-emotive Therapy could change the patient's negative awareness of the disease and help the patient find their emotional need and self-achievements that they already have to a certain extent.Thereby,it will enhance patient's satisfaction of life and deepen the understanding of life. |
