In recent years,with the popularity of college sports elective courses,all kinds of sports courses have met the demand of different hobbies and sports ability in student.Badminton,which as a prevalent sport activity to provide entertainment and fitness function to public,has become one of the most popular courses among university sport elective courses.Thus,under the trend of prevalence in badminton,it is vital for scholarand badminton teacher to discover the method for teacher to teach effectively,and for student to improve physical fitness,badminton technique,and lifetime sport consciousness actively,basing on the differences in gender,hobbies and sports ability level of students.The paper will practically apply the "SPARK" courses,which develop from the United Stated,into the badminton elective course of female university through experiment,and theoretically illustrate the development of "SPARK" course through massive literature researches.I will conduct an experiment to compare the"SPARK"course and traditional course.During the experiment,I employed questionnaire survey method,and interview sport expert,base on different circumstance,to constantly improve and optimize my research program.Firstly,I randomly selected two female badminton classes from the Yunnan University School of Public Physical Education as the experimental class and the control class,and carried out a badminton teaching experiment for a semester.Secondly,I introduced the "SPARK" teaching concept in the experimental class and traditional teaching concept in the control class under same teaching conditions.In addition,I participated in the whole process as teacher assistant with another two professional badminton teachers who provide guidance and timely help.To verify the effectiveness of the "SPARK course" on the college badminton elective course,I analyzed the physical fitness level of student,class exam score,and sport learning interest between the two classes before and after the experiment.Through the experimental research,we conclude that:1.Regarding the physical fitness,After the experiment,The results of four measurements in experimental class,which employed SPARK course,and in the control class have promoted.Even though no significant differences,but the results of four measurements in experimental class were higher than result before the experiment.Also,the percentage increase of the result in experimental class before and after experiment were better than in the control class.2.Regarding the sport skill,the students' basic badminton ball control ability has significantly improved after the experiment in both traditional sports teaching method and SPARK teaching method.Moreover,80%students of both classes reached medium or above level in Skill assessment about deep high service,and forecourt lift after experiment.In addition,the experimental class had better skills with the whole audience position,and forecourt lift after SPARK course compared to control class,but no significant differences on deep high service and forecourt high clear.3.The survey result after the experiment showed that the experimental class in badminton teaching can effectively improve the enthusiasm of the female students in physical education learning,reduce the negative increase of interest in sports,develop independent learning ability,and increase the participation level in outdoor activities and PE class.However,not many effects on students' social behavior.4.The questionnaire result about the effectiveness of the SPARK teaching method showed that female college students hold a positive attitude towards "SPARK" courses for badminton teaching,and that 80%students thought they have learned four basic techniques of badminton.At the same time,students had positive attitude toward the sport competition and activities during the class,the classroom atmosphere and harmonious relationship between teachers and students.Moreover,students expected an even more vivid and interesting PE class in next semester.5.The SPARK program that combined of badminton teaching in college girls was comprehensive,inclusive,interactivity and flexibility.In order to improve the participation level of female college students in physical exercise by following the principle of sports skills formation,we need to combine the sports enjoyment and sports skills,to make the students feel the real charm of sports,and to develop personal sport interest and lifelong habit by migrating the sports experience into daily life.
