With the deepening of the reform of physical education curriculum, all kinds of advanced teaching ideas, good contents and effective strategies, practical methods and comprehensive evaluation method are applied in physical education teaching, good results have been achieved. PE teachers in our country have been learned some good experience of others these years, such as SPARK course of USA. More than3500schools in twenty-two states in USA have taken part in the program of SPARK. SPARK is very popular in every school and students love to play games and take part in activities through SPARK. In these twenty years, the study of SPARK has obtained many achievements in USA. In recent three years, people gradually know and understand the course and read many passages and books about SPARK. Many literatures of SPARK in China now focus on the introduction of this program and it’s hard to collect the passages of the experiences of use the methods in PE class. This article has collected a large number of literatures about SPARK program through literature analysis method and has summed up the experiences of the experiment in No.l Primary School affiliated to Shanghai Normal University. The experiment was conducted in two classes’ PE classes with the same grade, the experimental class and the regular class, two different PE teachers with the same teaching levels, sixty-nine pupils totally. The teaching methods in this experiment according to the classroom teaching principles of SPARK:BASICS and combine with the course requirements in Shanghai Sports and Fitness. Students in experimental class had PE classes with the methods of SPARK and the other class had regular PE classes. After one term for study, teachers collected data before and after the experiment through the questionnaire investigation and comparative analysis method and then had mathematical statistics analysis to verify the SPARK curriculum concept to the feasibility and effectiveness of the elementary school sports teaching in China. Two students Progress in the largest from the experiment class were selected for case study in the final three weeks. Following conclusions of this study were drawn through experiment and case study:(1) Introducing the SPARK curriculum idea into the elementary school physical education can effectively improve students’ interest in a positive and reduce the negative interest in physical education learning, but to improve the students’ autonomous learning effect is not significant.(2) Introducing the SPARK curriculum idea into the elementary school physical education can promote students’ physical quality development, especially to improve the students’ endurance quality has a significant effect, in the aspect of improve the standing long jump and1minute skip rope scores have certain effect, but there was no significant.(3) Introducing the SPARK curriculum idea into the elementary school physical education is can effectively improve students’ sports participation, promote students to participate in the inside and outside class physical activities. This is because SPARK curriculum idea can provide some references for teachers on building good teaching atmosphere, efficient management of time, taking the initiative to focus on students, fully taping the teaching content, etc.
