A Study On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Social Support For Urban Elderly Family Caregivers

China's population aging is accelerating the development of the situation,which inevitably bring some social problems,how to make the elderly to enjoy the elderly life,It is the reality of all levels of government problems.At present,the care of the elderly in our country is mainly family-oriented,family care can save care costs,reduce the burden of social pension,so it has great advantages.It can be seen that the advantages of family care.This has been recognized by many people,however,the family care of the current situation is not optimistic,the elderly family careers are facing many difficulties.This is not conducive to the improvement of China's long-term care system and China's long-term care system for sustainable development.Urban Elderly Family Caregivers always face the enormous psychological pressure,Integration of social support resources have great significance for the elderly family caregivers.It can make more and more people aware the importance of family caregivers.It is conducive to enhance the quality of care for the elderly.In this paper,the author takes a district of Songjiang District of Shanghai for example,Through in-depth interviews with six family caregivers.On the basis of the analysis of the interview data,the author analyzes the current situation of the social support of the urban elderly caregivers,the dilemma faced by the urban elderly caregivers,and the needs of the urban elderly caregivers.The main dilemma faced by urban elderly caregivers are affected by physical and mental health,lack of care and skills,low self-worth and high economic burden.The social support of urban elderly caregivers is mainly dependent on informal social support,that is social support from family members,neighbors,friends and so on;formal social support is not enough,and social support from community and social organizations needs to be strengthened.Careers' needs for social support include information support needs,emotional support needs,economic support needs,and service requirements.In addition,the author reviewed three countries in the elderly family care for some of the practices,The United States,Japan and Australia are included.due to the aging population at home and abroad,They have common characteristics and differences.Therefore,we should learn from the experience of social support of foreign elderly family caregivers,and we should optimize the top-level design and improve the marco-support policy in terms of formal social support.we should learn from the mature experience of social support for foreign elderly family caregivers,and we should optimize the top-level design and improve macro-support policies in terms of formal social support.We should fully use the community platform to provide support for family caregivers resources;to carry out targeted services to meet the urgent needs of family care;play the role of the media to guide the guidance of public opinion.In the informal social support,we must first play the basic support role of the family and play volunteer service organizations as a complementary role.
