Chinese textbooks which we use at present are all literary selections without exception.Before the textbooks were published,articles therein had been redacted by editors.The ways to redact them are mainly deleting and excerpting,this phenomenon is quite common at present.Taking the PEP(People's Education Press)Chinese textbooks as examples,this essay will focus on these expurgated texts and find differences between editor's text and writer's text.So we can explore the effect of the expurgated texts on Chinese teaching,and offer corresponding recommendations for textbooks compilation and Chinese teaching.Wish this essay would be benefit to the construction of Chinese textbooks and Chinese teaching research.This essay is composed of five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,in this chapter,I will introduce the research status of subject and explain the causes,significance and methods of the subject research.In the second chapter,I will expound the concept of the Chinese textbooks and the expurgated texts,in order to grasp the whole situation,this part will analyze the quantity,types,reasons and list of expurgated texts.The third chapter will elaborate the positive and negative impact of expurgated texts.The forth chapter will summarize the different attitudes to expurgated texts,and offer suggestions for textbooks compilation.The fifth chapter will expound the principles and methods of teaching.The last part is the conclusion.
