Objective:The purpose of this study was to investigate the parenting stress,family care,and social support status of preschool children in Jilin Province,and to explore the impact of general data on parenting stress,and to analyze the correlation between family care,social support,and parenting stress.To provide reference for reducing preschool children's mothers' parenting stress and promoting the healthy growth of preschool children..Methods:Using stratified sampling methods,according to their gross national product,nine cities under the Jilin Province are divided into three categories.Corresponding economic development levels from high to low,selected Changchun City,Siping City,and Baishan City.and then selected a district from each city.Finally,we selected two public kindergartens from each district to conduct a questionnaire survey on mothers of preschool children.Questionnaires include general data questionnaires,the simplified parental stress questionnaire(Chinese version),the family caring index questionnaire,and the social support rating scale.The data was double-inputted with Epidata3.1,and SPSS17.0 was used to analyze the data.We use descriptive statistical analysis,t test,one-way ANOVA,Pearson correlation analysis,Spearman correlation analysis,and multiple stepwise regression to analysis the data.Results:1.The total score of parenting stress of preschool children in Jilin Province was(83.27±16.77).The scores of parental disability dimensions,parent-child interaction disorders and difficult children were(31.03±8.50),(25.00±5.55),and(27.24±7.69).732 people(57.1%)had a normal level of parenting stress,136(10.6%)had a critically high level of parenting stress,168(13.1%)had a high level of parenting stress,and 246(19.2%)had a very high level of parenting stress.2.The median score of family care of mothers of preschool children in Jilin Province was 7.00,P25 and P75 were 5.00 and 8.00.There were 680(53%)with good family function,530(41.3%)with moderately family dysfunction and 72(5.6%)with severe family dysfunction.3.The total social support for preschool children's mothers in Jilin Province was(34.47±5.78),the subjective support area was(17.27±2.70),the objective support area was(9.88±2.18),and the support utilization area score was(7.33±2.06).4.General information on single-factor analysis of parenting stress show that the mother's age,education,occupation,working hours,marital status,family type,whether there are other caregivers,living areas,children's age,children's gender,children's health status for preschooler mothers have an effect on the preschool children's mothers' parenting pressure(P<0.05).The Family average monthly income,the number of children,and the child's home ranking had no effect on the parenting stress of preschool children(P>0.05).5.The correlation analysis showed that parenting stress and family care had a negative correlation(r=-0.456),and parenting stress and social support had a negative correlation(r=-0.484).6.Multivariate stepwise regression results showed total social support scores,children's health status,main family(family type),child gender,free and flexible time(working hours),Siping(living area),Baishan(living area),children's age,night shift(Work time),intimacy,and emotionality entered the regression equation and were important influencing factors for the mother's parenting stress in preschool children,which could explain the variation in the dependent variable of 44.2%(R2=0.442).Conclusions:1.The preschool children's mothers' parenting pressure is in a high level,and the families' function is in a high level,social support is at a normal level throughout the country.2.General information on the mother's age,education,occupation,working hours,marital status,family type,whether there are other caregivers,living areas,children's age,children's gender,children's health status affect the preschool children's mothers parenting pressure.3.The better the family function of preschool children's mothers in Jilin Province is,the lower the level of parenting stress;the higher the level of social support,the lower the level of parental stress.4.Social support scores,children's health status,family types,children's gender,working hours,living areas,children's age,intimacy,and emotionality are the main influencing factors for preschool children's mothers parenting stress.
