A Study On The Marriage Stability Of Rural Left-Behind Women

Since reform and opening up of China in 1980s,the rural-urban gap of economic growth is widened,the rapid development of city demands a lot of labor,while the modernization in rural areas causes surplus labor force.Therefore,under the joint effect of "the pulling force" of cities as well as "the driving force" of villages,the rural male-based flow,results in many rural left-behind families that will a long-term phenomenon at current stage in China.The basic interaction of families is affected due to the long absence of husbands.Are their marriages stable?How do couples and social factors influence their marriages?The author will study the issue in this paper.In view of this,This paper makes a relative investigation on the marital stability of the women staying in DZ village,and uses the theory of role play to make a relatively comprehensive inquiry into the internal and external factors that affect their marital stability.According to the research questions,qualitative research method is adopted in this paper,the author selects 17 families as the major objects in DZ village of Leling City in Shandong province.The author analyzes the factors that lead to divorce,by integrating judgement of civil divorce of Leling in 2016(http://wenshu.court.gov.cn/).The interview of left-behind women reveals that their marriage are in high stability,with some of them in low quality.In the village of women left-behind in the interview,the village found most of the left behind women's marriage presents a high stable state,a small part of the left behind women's marriage although is instable.Factors affecting the stability of their marriage can be divided into internal factors between husband and wife and others,customs and public opinion and social factors outside the village go out and left behind women.Her husband by positive emotions,maintain the marriage economy to maintain a stable state,the social support network is helpful to the stability of marriage and the establishment and important others.While in the village and against divorce refers to "virilocal" custom of women and their husbands choose divorce behavior to stay beam Bound,and to a certain extent to maintain the stability and continuity of left behind women's marriage.On the other hand,left behind women and her husband out of emotional bond breaking,relaxation economic ties caused marital instability,the support of important others and village to divorce behavior of public opinion on the acceptance of divorce behavior,it undermines the stability and the continuation of the marriage.
