In the era of knowledge economy, innovation becomes the soul of social sustainable development, and all localities and departments are actively responding to innovation, accommodating innovation and promoting innovation. But the key to innovation is the possession of innovative human resources.Universities are the cradle of innovative talents training,in which the undergraduate stage is the accumulation of personal knowledge, and graduate students experienced four years of knowledge accumulation, their mind, thought and understanding are superior to undergraduates.Once into the graduate stage,we should not only accept all kinds of knowledge, but also need to provide some innovation, which requires a certain degree of innovation. However, with the expansion of graduate enrollment, teachers resources are limited and graduate students are lack of innovation. At the same time,in the era of rapid knowledge change, the process of social networking is accelerated, and the one-to-one tutor system in colleges is unable to meet the demand for diversification and increasing knowledge. Therefore,in order to break the one-to-one tutor system,we have to explore how to improve the ability of graduate students from the perspective of the mentor network. For,it is not only the development of graduate students inherent requirements, but also an important issue which colleges graduate innovation education has to solve.Based on this, the study has analyzed the influence of mentor networks and graduate students innovation accordance with the main line of research, which is "the theoretical principle-the theoretical model-empirical test-management strategy" from the perspective of mentor network and the intermediary of knowledge absorptive ability.Firstly, the research begins with the background and significance of the research, expounds the content, research methods and innovation points of this research.Secondly, the research provides theoretical support for the follow-up research through the literature review and theoretical analysis.Thirdly,it defines the three concepts of mentor network, knowledge absorptive ability and graduate students' innovation ability.Meanwhile, according to the existing research theory,it puts forward the theoretical model and the research hypothesis.Fourthly, the study designs measure scale for the relevant variables according to the existing mature scale. Also,a preliminary investigation is conducted in order to determine the ultimate questionnaire which possesses good reliability and validity.Fifthly,we use the formal questionnaire after the pre-survey revision to carry on the empirical research, the structural equation model is constructed to test the relationship among the mentor network(the mentor network size, the center of mentor network and the quality of mentor network relationship),postgraduates' knowledge absorptive capacity(the potential knowledge absorptive capacity and the practical knowledge absorption ability)and graduate students' innovation ability. Finally, the research puts forward suggestions to improve the innovation ability of graduate students through the analysis and empirical test results. The final results show that the mentor network size, the center of mentor network and the quality of mentor' network relationship have a significant positive impact on the innovation ability of graduate students.Among them, the postgraduates' potential knowledge absorptive capacity and the practical knowledge absorption ability play a completely intermediary role between the center of mentor network and the innovation ability of graduate students.Meanwhile,They also play a partially intermediary role between the quality of mentor network relationship and the innovation ability of graduate students.Especially, the postgraduates' potential knowledge absorptive capacity plays a partially intermediary role between the size of the mentor network and the innovation ability of graduate students, and the postgraduates' practical knowledge absorptive capacity does not play a intermediary role between the two.
