Christian Culture And Hospice Care Services

In the present stage of our country,the living standard and the material level of the people have changed dramatically.People are paying increasingly attention to the quality of life,the aging phenomenon is becoming more and more obvious,at the same time.The service of hospice care is becoming much more popular.Hospice care is an important part of social organization service.It focuses on improving the quality of life and establishing the right concept of death.The wisdom of life and death and service concept of Christianity would promote the service of hospice care for social work to the direction of professionalization,institutionalization and standardization,which are of great significance to social work's development.This thesis based on the theory of social culture and the third sector theory,uses literature research methods and field research methods to study the impact of Christian culture on the service of hospice care for the elderly.Through the literature review,the research reviews the origin and development of hospice care,and studies related literature on hospice care.It mainly analyzes the influence of Christian life and death concepts and rituals on hospice care.Based on the collation and analysis of the literature,the purpose sampling method was used to identify the interview subjects and design the interview outline.This article interviews the Christian church staff,the leaders of the pension institutions,the scholars,and so on to obtain the information about the service scale,the source of funds,the service characteristics,the life and death wisdom and the hospice care rites of the old-age institutions with the Christian background.The article is mainly divided into seven parts,which included introduction,literature review respectively,the background of institutions in the Christian context to carry out hospice care services,the impact of Christian culture on hospice care services,the plight of hospice care services for organizations with Christian backgrounds in our country,and the thinking and suggestions on hospice care services for organizations with Christian backgrounds.This study founded that the services of the Christian community include:improving the quality of life,paying attention to one state of mind,using Christian wisdom to reduce the fear of death,paying attention to the funeral arrangements,and providing spiritual care,etc.However,Christianity still has some difficulties in the implementation of elderly hospice care services,such as the impact of traditional concept of life and death,lack of access to funds,lack of professional talents and national policy restrictions.Based on the above difficulties,this study puts forward suggestions on the construction of professional teams,the expansion of funding channels,and the advocacy of policy norms.In Christian culture,the attitude towards death,the standard of hospice care service,and the working model all have a positive impact on the development of hospice care.It provides new ideas and new impetus for hospice care in social work.
