A Research Of Marital Stability Among Farmers From The Perspective Of Generation Comparison

Family stability to some extent,can reflect a social stability,and ties of marriage as a family,can be seen as a barometer of social stability.With the divorce rate is increasing in our country marriage status is the same,in recent years,Z shall be divorce phenomenon began to accumulate,and the second generation number of divorce is much higher than farmers.In the perspective of generational comparison,this paper adopts the method of qualitative research,through semi-structured interviews and participatory observation field investigation,and through the analysis found that after:farmers generation of marriage is relatively stable in Z village,compared with farmers'generation farmers second generation marriage is relatively stable.This study found that farmers generation of marriage are the major factors to maintain:"family standard" cultural influence,the influence of" single-mindedness"traditional marriage,family relationships,the couple had a strong family sense of responsibility and obstacle of divorce(children and public opinion against divorce village);Marriage break up reason is mainly due to the not mentioned family and an extramarital affair.Farmers are the major factors of the maintenance of the second generation marriage,husband and wife relationship harmony,pay attention to communication,both sides of husband and wife recognition of division of family,parents in support of economic and family affairs and couple of cohesion is strong;The cause of the breakdown of farmers in the second generation marriage mainly include:emphasis on "individual standard",pay attention to personal feelings,women's economic independence,the pursuit of equal rights,pay attention to the influence of the economic income of family and the negative impact of mass media information openness.And compared to a generation of farmers the cause of the second generation marriage is relatively stable,on the one hand,is affected by personal and family reasons,on the other hand is the result under the influence of the social background.From personal and family reasons,this is the agriculture improvement of quality of the second generation of marriage and divorce barriers weakened binding together of the two reasons;first,farmers in the second generation of the requirements of the emotional life and quality of life is more demanding,women are also more pursuit of equal rights;Second,compared with farmers' generation in both children and village public opinion on the binding of divorce,agriculture barriers to second generation divorce began to decrease,binding become weak gradually.Two reasons for this interaction,affecting the marital stability of the second generation in Z village.And from social reason is mainly due to the limit of divorce to relax,social and economic development and population flow and the changes of marriage.In personal and family and social factors mutual influence,the farmers of the second generation marriage becomes relatively unstable.Compared with previous studies,the domestic scholars pay more attention to urban residents,migrant workers of new generation migrant workers of marriage,more research on the stability of the rural marriage to reason and change the result after the change,no subdivision generation and farmers of the second generation of marriage,nor will the generation and farmers of the second generation,comparing the stability of marriage in the perspective of generational comparison study is less,so to generational comparison as the breakthrough point to study the stability of the rural marriage has a certain significance.
