Because of fierce social competition,the school unilaterally pursues higher school entrance rate,pays more attention to the education of outstanding students and middle students,but lacks attention to backward students.Potential students are students whose academic performance is temporarily behind in the school and whose learning potential remains to be stimulated.The underachievement of potential students is not due to the limited influence of innate intelligence,but more because of learning motivation,learning emotional and emotional influence,and external environmental impact.This paper uses the method of questionnaire survey and interview to study the learning problems and reasons of L middle school students,and concludes that the potential survival problems are low learning skills,low learning mood and unreasonable cognition.The previous surveys provide direction for the study of school social work practices.School social workers can help students with these learning potentials to improve their academic performance,change their irrational beliefs about learning,increase their self-confidence in learning activities,and mobilize themselves and their surroundings.Important other people's resources for student learning services.The author's research on potential students' learning transformation mainly carried out from the following five parts.The first part is the introduction.It mainly elaborates the research background(ie,why research?),research status(ie,literature review),research methods(mainly questionnaire survey and interview method)and core of school social work involvement in “potential students”.Concepts(that is,potential students and school social work).In the second part,based on the students' on-the-spot investigations and interviews in L Middle School,this paper analyzes the main problems and causes of potential students' learning in the middle school,which are manifested in: low learning skills,low learning mood,unreasonable cognition and other issues;The main reasons for students' learning difficulties are their own intellectual and non-intellectual factors,family,school and social environment factors.The third part is an empirical study of the social work methods of school cases that transform students with learning potentials.In the fourth part,we propose that social workers use school case work,group work,and community work methods to transform potential students.In the last part,it is concluded that the school social work methods in potential conclusion and reflection of the transformation of learning.
