Investigation And Research On The Current Situation Of Small Basketball In Primary School Of Nanyang Urban Area

In 2017,the Chinese Basketball Association officially launched a "small basketball" program for children under 12 years of age.Small basketball can meet the physical and mental health needs,and also provide resources for the reserve of basketball talents in China.The research methods used in this paper include literature and material methods,interviews,questionnaires,and mathematical statistics methods.This paper conducted research and interviews with students,physical education teachers,and school leaders in some primary schools in Wancheng District,Wolong District,Gaoxin District,and the municipality of Nanyang City,and investigates the current situation of the development of small basketball games in some primary schools in Nanyang and analyzes the existing problems.And puts forward the countermeasures for the overall development of the small-basketball in Nanyang primary school.The following conclusions are obtained through investigation and analysis:1.Basketball has a very broad mass base in Nanyang,it is a favorite sport for primary and middle school students,and “small basketball,small rebounds,and small venues” are very much in line with the physical and psychological development characteristics of children under 12 years of age.Each school is there are teachers,venues,equipment and other conditions,but also to carry out small basketball games in varying degrees.For example,small basketball teaching in physical education class,extra-curricular basketball training,small basketball league in school,etc.some schools also carried out “small basketball school-based curriculum construction”,and Nanyang City also held a small basketball game in the downtown area every year.2.Nanyang primary school of small basketball venues,equipment and facilities can meet the teaching requirements almostly.However,for those schools with a large number of classes,the conditions for basketball hardware are relatively lacking,and the extracurricular activities cannot meet the actual needs of the majority of primary school students.3.The age,education,and title structure of primary school physical education teachers in Nanyang are meet the standards.The number of physical education teachers are sufficient,but there is a relative shortage of professional basketball teachers.However,for the elementary school to fully carry out small basketball games,basketball teachers are quite inadequate.4.The teaching content of primary school basketball teaching in Nanyang is not systematic and uniform,The teaching objectives,teaching methods,basketball teaching evaluation system are not clear,the number of course is insufficient.It is even not guaranteed that one lesson will be completed in one week.There are no general textbooks or uniform teaching materials for the small basketball courses in Nanyang.However,there are individual schools that have carried out the construction of small basketball courses.There is a certain degree of standardization and science,and the practice results are good.
