Under the background of new era,globalization is still moving forward with people’s unexpected speed,the exchanges and collisions of various thoughts and cultures,social trends and values in the world are more frequent,The competition among countries is becoming more and more fierce,and the competition of talents becomes an essential factor,which makes the pace of popularization of higher education has gradually accelerated.Faced with this situation,the importance of universities as the main battlefield for young talents training and ideological and political education in universities as the main training ground for young talents have become increasingly prominent,even the United States with strong strength in economic,political and military fields also has to pay attention to the construction and development of its citizens ’ quality,of course,our country is no exception.However,since our country is in a period of social transition,various social problems appear successively,some problems are likely to occur in the domain of ideas and ethics education,in order to further raise the level of ideological and political education in universities in our country,the improvement and perfection of the ideological and political education methods,reference and absorption of the United States in the ideological and political education work outstanding achievements and valuable experience is necessary.This paper takes the ideological and political education in universities in China and the United States as the object of study,and applies the theories and methods of the relevant ideological and political education.Adhering to a scientific and holistic attitude,the paper studies and analyzes the ideological and political education in China and the United States and related issues.First of all,this paper introduces the background and significance of this paper,the domestic and foreign research status,ideas and methods,innovation and basic structure of this paper in the way of introduction.Secondly,the concept and importance of ideological and political education in universities in China and the United States are defined and explained respectively,and the research object and research value of this paper are clarified.Furthermore,in the form of a special topic,the paper expounds in detail the training objectives,contents and implementation methods of ideological and political education in China and the United States,and through comparative analysis summarizes similarities and differences in the development of universities between the two countries.Finally,this paper attempts to obtain an effective enlightenment on the development of ideological and political education in China’s universities by comparison of ideological and political education in China and the United States to achieve the goal of perfecting the ideological and political education system and improving the effectiveness of education.
