In the context of the new curriculum reform,the professional development of rural sports teachers has received attention from the society.The author conducted a questionnaire survey of 110 rural elementary school physical education teachers in Shuyang County and conducted faceto-face interviews and interviews with 15 senior physical education teachers to understand the current professional development and existing development problems of rural teachers in rural schools in Shuyang County.The author based on social support from the perspective of the study,the first to explain the theory of social support for the follow-up study of the article to provide a theoretical basis,and by investigating the professional development status of physical education teachers in rural primary schools in Shuyang County,summing up the current rural elementary school physical education teachers face the specific development dilemma.The specific performance in the professional concept is weak,self-improvement awareness;irrational professional knowledge structure,lack of knowledge of human science;professional development is not comprehensive,scientific research capacity needs to be improved.Based on this,from the perspective of social support,the causes for the professional development of PE teachers in rural primary schools were studied.Based on the literature data,the composition of social support for rural elementary school PE teachers was summarized,from formal social support to informal social support.Each aspect analyzes the causes of the problems.Finally,from the perspective of social support,we propose ways to optimize professional development.
