Research On The Reform Of Government Statistics Under The Background Of Big Data

Government statistics is important for the state to carry out scientific decision-making and management.It undertakes the task of fully reflecting the national conditions,objectively describing the status quo of economic and social development,and accurately revealing the characteristics of economic operations.It formulates the macro-control policies for all government levels and implements administrative means to provide data support.With the rapid development of information technology in the 21 st century,new industries,new models and new formats are emerging in an endless stream,which makes government statistics work more and more difficult.Especially in the era of big data,great changes have taken place in the production,collection,application and distribution of data.The government statistics department is no longer the only publisher and interpreter of data.This is of a big challenge to the current government authority and function for the statistical agency.Therefore,there is an urgent need in the reform of government statistics.Based on the current social development status,this study explores the develop ment of domestic big data in the context of the information age,investigates the imp act of big data on the state departments,and conducts in-depth research on issues rel ated to China’s government statistics reform.Through the exploration of big data,we proposed innovative work flow of government statistics,optimised the process of da ta collection and release by government departments and statistical services,improve d the accuracy of data collection,and enhanced the public credibility of statistics.Ult imately,the data can accurately reflect the economic development trend under the ne w state,and assist government to establish a more scientific and reasonable data stati stical model.
