Inequality and equality are the basic quantitative relations of objective things,and inequality is the mathematical model to express unequal relations.The univariate one-order inequality is an important content in the number and algebra of junior high school,and it is a necessary content of the middle school examination.This research finds out the problems and difficulties existing in the content of inequality for junior high school students,and bring reference value to the inequality teaching of teachers.At the same time,it hopes to solve some problems existing in the learning of inequality,and provide more effective learning ideas.Through analysis of the problems and difficulties of junior high school students' learning inequality,the study made a test paper.A test paper was given to 568 students in 12 parallel classes in a middle school.The problems and difficulties in learning inequality are summarized.Then the problems and difficulties are summarized,and the results of interviews with students and teachers are combined.Reasonable suggestions are given for students to learn about inequality and teachers for teaching inequality.The problems of junior high school students' learning inequality summarized from the comprehensive test results and interview results are as follows: the understanding of the concept of inequality,the application of the basic properties of inequality;problems in solving inequalities;problems in the application of inequalities.The difficulties in understanding or solving problems of junior high school students are: difficulties in understanding the properties of concepts,difficulties in solving problems when parameters are included in inequalities,and difficulties in solving problems in the application of inequalities;difficulties in solving the problem with absolute value in inequality;difficulties in modeling when inequality is applied synthetically.Based on the results of a large number of test papers,this study analyzed and summarized the problems and difficulties in learning inequalities of junior high school students.It is the innovation of this paper to summarize and analyze the difficulties existing in the learning inequality of students.After summing up and analyzing the reasons of the difficulties,the results of the interviews with students and teachers are analyzed.Some suggestions are put forward for the difficulties existing in the study of inequality.
