Group Work Involved In Urban Empty-Nesters Mutual Aid Research

In this study,49 empty nest elderly people in the D community were selected as the research object,and the topic of "mutual assistance for the elderly in urban empty nests" was developed.Combined with relevant theoretical knowledge and practical experience,comprehensive observation and in-depth interview methods were used in the early stage of the group.Relevant investigations and analysis were conducted on the research subjects,practical activities were carried out in the middle term,and evaluations and conclusions were made later.This study takes the theoretical basis and professional methods of social work as the starting point,pays attention to the personal feelings of the elderly,and investigates the change in the details of each elderly person and in the course of the activities,so as to test whether the group work may make a strong push in promoting mutual help of the empty nest elderly in the community.Firstly,the workers enter the D community with the help of the community staff.Through the observation and in-depth interviews in the community,the workers understand the main problems and basic needs of the research subjects.And in order to test whether the work of the group involved in mutual assistance for empty nesters is necessary and feasible.Through the previousinvestigation,the author found that the health status of the empty nest elderly in the D community was better,but there was a lack of social communication and psychological support,and there was no sense of uselessness and the main problems facing loneliness of the empty nester.Secondly,according to the needs of the research object,we design and implement the group activity program,and summarize and reflect on each activity.Through the activity,we strengthen the interaction between team members,so as to establish a sense of belonging to the team,and ultimately help each other to self-help.Promote self-improvement.Finally,by assessing the practical work process of the analysis team in the early,middle and later stages,this paper discusses the achievements and shortcomings of the group work in the assistance of the elderly in the empty nest in the town,and makes a valuable reference for the practical application of the group work in the community empty-nest elderly.
