Logical thinking ability is a very important ability in the mathematics discipline.The junior middle school mathematics currieulum goal clearly points out that we must focus on cultivating students’ mathematical thinking ability,especially the students’ mathematical logic thinking ability.After consulting many excellent math teachers,the author have founded that there are obvious difference in the learning ability of mathematics among junior high school students.This article have been divided into four levels which based on the five thinking levels of the Van Hill theory,and it have defined the level of mathematics logical thinking and investigates and analyzes it.This paper investigates the mathematics logical thinking ability of 204 students from third grade of two middle schools in Xiangxiang City.According the the current state of mathematics logieal thinking of third grade students,the author have been divided the score to several levels and determine the level of the students who to be tested,and analyzed the relation between mathematies logical thinking level and grades.This result leads to the following conclusions:(1)Students with better grades have higher levels of mathematics logical thinking;(2)Most third grade students are at Level 2 and Level 3,and there are fewer students at level 1 and level 4.The students at level 3 and above is more than 54%;(3)There is a difference in mathematics logic thinking level between A middle school and B middle school in Xiangxiang city,because there is a different in the training mode at different school,school A pays more attention at excellent training but school B pays more attention at the whole students;(4)Sex has little difference in the logical thinking of mathematics which are different with traditional views,but the overall boys are still have a slightly higher than girls.At the same time,according to these conclusions,we have raised three aspects in terms of cultivating students ’mathematical thinking.Suggestions:(1)Cultivate students’mathematical logical thinking ability from specific teaching;(2)Train students’ logical thinking ability from the teaching mechanism;(3)According to teachers and students themselves to improve the ability of mathematical logic thinking;...
